Arsenal striker keen to see Uruguayan at Emirates
Stadium.
Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has insisted that he would
be welcome Luis Suarez’s arrival at the club according to The Daily Mail.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for the
Liverpool striker in recent weeks although the Anfield club are remaining firm
in their resolve to hang on to the player.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to bring in a new
striker after failing to be impressed by Olivier Giroud last season.
It is thought the French manager is keen to flex some
financial muscle and bring in a marquee signing to please the fans.
The pressure on Arsenal has increased in recent days with
the news that Real Madrid have accepted an offer from Napoli for Gonzalo
Higuain.
The Gunners were at one point favourites for his
signature but it now looks likely that they will miss out on the Argentine
striker.
That could allow them to fully focus on the signing of
Suarez, and Podolski has insisted he would be keen to see the Uruguayan arrive
at the club.
Podolski insisted that he was not concerned about the
possibility of Suarez’s arrival dropping him to the bench as it helped the team
when big names play together.
