John W.Henry: Liverpool can be champions again & reiterates Suarez will not be sold to Arsenal

Not for the first time this week, Liverpool owner John W.Henry has been forthright in his opinions of how he sees the future at Anfield and where Luis Suarez will play his football next season.

Besides the interviews given to the English press, confirming Suarez would not be sold to Arsenal, during last week, Henry also gave an interview to NRK.No – a Norwegian broadcaster.

The interview was aired on Friday, after Liverpool beat Valerenga 4-1 in midweek and Henry was bullish in his assessment of the season ahead.

Suarez was forced to train alone again this morning, and cut a lonely figure as he put himself through his paces at the club's training centre.

His team-mates are due to arrive in Dublin to face Celtic for Liverpool's last pre-season friendly before the new campaign.

LUIS Suarez is not going to any other club at any price and the notion of Arsenal, a potential Champions League rival, being permitted to buy him was “ludicrous”,Liverpool’s principal owner, John W Henry has declared.

                           

In his first public discussion of Suarez’s public agitation for a transfer, which has seen the striker banished from training with the first-team squad, Henry insisted that even a Real Madrid bid for the Uruguayan would be rejected because “we haven’t identified anyone who hasn’t moved or isn’t moving to replace him. So for football reasons we can’t sell – and  especially not to Arsenal.”

Liverpool owner John W Henry has insisted the club has no intention of selling Luis Suarez, the Daily Mirror has reported.

Henry was speaking at a meeting of the Liverpool Supporters Club in Oslo, ahead of the Reds’ friendly with Valarenga on Wednesday evening, and also confirmed neither he nor his business partner, Tom Werner, were considering selling the club.
