LIVERPOOL star Luis Suarez was back at Melwood today to
train away from the rest of the squad - as Reds owner John W. Henry threatens
to block his Anfield exit
Suarez was forced to train alone again this morning, and
cut a lonely figure as he put himself through his paces at the club's training
centre.
His team-mates are due to arrive in Dublin to face Celtic
for Liverpool's last pre-season friendly before the new campaign.
But despite Suarez continually voicing his desire to
leave the club, Liverpool chief Henry has refused to entertain the prospect of
selling the striker to Arsenal or any other club.
"We are not going to sell Luis," said Henry.
"I’m unequivocal that we won’t sell to Arsenal,
whatever the bid is. We’re not in Europe this year and have not been in the
Champions League for a while.
"Obviously to sell to a rival for those positions,
or one of them, would be ludicrous. He won’t be sold even if a foreign club
comes in because we do not have time to sign a suitable replacement."
Express Sport understands that Suarez will continue to
train alone until he apologises for the lack of respect Liverpool believe he
has shown manager Brendan Rodgers, his team-mates and fans.
