Lloris Excited About Spurs Signing Capoue

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is excited about fellow French international Etienne Capoue joining the club, it has been reported.

The Express has reported that the midfielder is on the verge of completing a move to North London for a transfer fee in the region of £9.5 million, after Toulouse chief Olivier Sadran told a French radio station about the transfer.

With the move of Capoue imminent the article reports that Lloris is excited at his compatriot signing for his club.

Tottenham have agreed an £8million deal with Toulouse to finally sign midfielder Etienne Capoue.

The 25-year-old France international has been a long-term target for Spurs – as well as their north London rivals Arsenal – with both clubs lodging offers in January.

However, Andre Villas-Boas looks to have finally won the race, with Toulouse president Olivier Sadran informing the local media that an £8million deal has been struck with Spurs for Capoue.

‘It’s going to happen,’ he told reporters.

‘Capoue will be joining Tottenham.’

French midfielder Etienne Capoue, who has been a target throughout the summer for Fiorentina, is all set to put pen to paper on a deal with Premier League new boys Cardiff City.

Vincenzo Montella’s men have been very keen on strengthening an already formidable midfield that includes the likes of Borja Valero and Alberto Aquilani.

However, Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay told the BBC today that his side have now agreed a transfer for the 25-year-old, saying: “Cardiff and Toulouse have now reached an agreement I can confirm.
