Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado is set to snub MANCHESTER
UNITED and force through a move to Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
The Colombian attacker has been at the centre of fevered
transfer speculation but has revealed his hand now – with him determined to
play for the Catalans.
New United boss Louis van Gaal had attempted to take
advantage of Barca’s stalling over signing the player by telling club officials
to offer as much as £31m for the star.
Spanish publication Sport has now claimed the winger has
set his heart on joining Barcelona and will force a move to SPAIN.
It is understood that the Premier League club can offer a
much higher salary, but Cuadrado will tell Fiorentina officials on Wednesday
that he wants a switch to Barca instead.
The 26-year-old, who joined the Serie A outfit from
Udinese in 2012, scored once and created four assists in Colombia’s run to the
quarter-finals in the World Cup this summer.
