Shola Ameobi expects Nigeria to hit top form against the
United States this weekend in their final warm-up game before the World Cup.
The 32-year-old is of the opinion that a fierce encounter
is on the cards, and naturally he is hoping for a victory following the Super
Eagles' previous two draws.
"It is going to be volatile," Ameobi told
KickOffNigeria.com after the goalless stalemate with Greece on Wednesday
morning.
"Obviously, it's our last warm-up game so we have to
really hit top form, and the fact that they are at home makes for a great
atmosphere.
"So it's going to take our best game to beat them,
and that's what we have to bring, that's what we want to do; to go to the World
Cup on the back of a win."
Nigeria face the US on Saturday at EverBank Field,
Jacksonville, Florida at 11:00pm Nigerian time.
