News Update :

Babatunde out with injured wrist

Thursday, 26 June 2014

Michael Babatunde is unlikely to play any further part in the World Cup after suffering a suspected hand fracture.

The midfielder was unfortunate to get his hand in the way of a venomous goal bound effort from Ogenyi Onazi and immediately went down.

He was taken off the grounds in an ambulance and Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi says he may require surgery.

"He broke his arm. We will have to take another look at it but he will. He will not be part of the game against France," Keshi said.

Culled from Kickoffnigeria
