Emmanuel Adebayor has tipped Nigeria to excel at the
World Cup in Brazil this summer, saying the team has all the ingredients to
succeed.
When questioned on which African team he expected to do
well at the mundial, the Togolese international tipped the Super Eagles of
Nigeria to do the continent proud.
“Out of these teams, (my choice for which of the African
teams will go the furthest) would be Nigeria because of their
concentration," Adebayor told Daily Express.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker also cited the tactical
prowess of Nigeria's coach Stephen Keshi who helped Togo qualify for the 2006
World Cup as a key factor that will help the African champions excel at the
mundial.
"Because of Stephen Keshi – he knows a lot about
football and everything. He has been there as well as a player for
Nigeria."
Adebayor also pointed out some key players in the team
whose qualities he believes will lead Nigeria to glory.
“And they have got Victor Moses, who is a great friend of
mine, and I like the way he plays. John Mikel Obi played a lot for Chelsea this
year and showed how good he is.
"Their goalkeeper (Vincent Enyeama) is very good.
Nigeria have all the ingredients to be good in the World Cup,” he noted.
