West Ham are closing in on the signing of Roma striker
Marco Borriello.
The Hammers are on the lookout for a new striker in the
transfer window, and were close to signing Inter’s Ishak Belfodil before the
move collapsed a few days ago.
West Ham have continued their search in Italy, and Sky
Italia report there is an agreement between West Ham and Roma for the transfer
of the Italian international.
On Monday, the player will meet with the club officials
to try and understand the intentions of coach Rudi Garcia. If Roma deem him a
surplus to requirements, the attacker may accept the offer from England.
Borriello has been on the periphery of the Roma squad so
far this season, netting one goal in 11
appearances.
