Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has begged
teammate and fellow midfielder Xabi Alonso to shelve plans of an exit and open
talks with the club over a new contract, according to Sports Direct News
The capital club notched up another victory on Monday
night with a 3-0 victory over Celta Vigo, but the future of one of their key
men still hangs in the balance as a number of clubs continue to keep tabs on
the 32-year-old.
Both Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal are all said
to be interested in landing his signature, and though he has previously
expressed his desire to stay at the club contract talks between the two have
apparently ground to a halt.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo has urged the two to come to
an agreement to keep the Spanish international at the club beyond the end of
the season when his current contract expires.
“That’s a messy situation which the president has to deal
with, I don’t want to know about it. But there’s always a solution to every
situation. Death is the only thing for which there is no solution. He’s 32,
there’s nothing I can tell him. But I hope he stays with us.”
