The Club Owners Association of Nigeria have expressed
shock at the death of former Kano Pillars chairman, Mohammed Sanni Usman.
The former football administrator and seasoned match
commissioner died on Friday, leaving behind two wives and seven children.
Acting secretary of the Club Owners, Alloy Chukwuemeka
described Usman's death as a rude shock to the football fraternity, and especially
to the Club Owners where he was once an active member.
In a statement released by the Club Owners, the
association offered its condolences to the immediate family of the departed
administrator, his friends, the management of Kano Pillars, as well as the
government and people of Kano State, while also praying for the repose of his
soul.
The association has appointed a three-man delegation made
up of Sabo Babayaro of Kaduna United, Abba Yola of Kano Pillars and Zanna Mala
of El Kanemi Warriors to attend his funeral.
