The Colombian club's official says that the 20-year-old's
hopes of a move to the Emirates Stadium have been "ruled out" despite
a trial period with the Premier League side
Nacional's Sebastian Perez will not join Arsenal,
according to the Colombian club's director.
The 20-year-old midfielder spent time on trial at the
Premier League club during the close-season and turned out for Arsene Wenger's
side a 3-1 friendly win over Manchester City on Saturday but Victor Marulanda
has confirmed that the Colombia Under-20s internationalhas been refused a work
permit and will therefore not be moving to the Emirates Stadium.
When asked about Perez's move to north London, Marulanda
told winsports.co: "That wasn't possible and the player will keep working
with us.
"The possibility of joining Arsenal has been ruled
out."
Nevertheless, Perez could still depart the Estadio
Atanasio Girardot Medellin, with Marulanda revealing that the midfielder is of
interest to two other sides.
"There are two clubs interested in him, it's
true," the Nacional boss added. "If there is any other concrete
possibility, he will leave."
