Inter owner Massimo Moratti stated that talks regarding
the sale of the Nerazzurri will not continue until after Ferragosto.
The 68-year-old is reportedly set to sell a majority
stake in the club to Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir with a deal expected
to be announced in the coming weeks.
While talks are ongoing, Moratti stated that no further
progress will be made until after August 15.
“There are still some things to clear up,” he told
reporters outside his Saras offices.
“A deal is done once all the details are agreed upon. We
will continue to talk after Ferragosto, as it is still not the right time. The
details that must be talked about do not concern the organization of the club.
“Leonardo as a director? There were never any talks about
that. I don’t think that other people have contacted him either.
“Transfer market? We are attentive as always. There is
the right spirit, the will and the desire to have a squad that is ready to
compete for the title.”
