Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has opened the door for
a possible move to Napoli with former boss Rafa Benitez ready to welcome him
with open arms.
The Slovakian international has been heavily linked with
a move to the Partenopei in recent weeks as the Italian club look to add
another defensive reinforcement to the ranks.
With some reports indicating a deal is near completion,
Skrtel did not close the door on a possible exit from Anfield that would
reunite him with Benitez.
“Anything is possible,” he told Sky Sports.
“There are alternatives, but my priority at the time is
to recover from my injury.”
Skrtel was signed by Liverpool in 2008 from Russian side
Zenit St. Petersburg. He has since gone on to make 206 appearances for the
Reds.
