Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly revealed he
could make a shock move to re-sign Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona, but insists a
move wont happen for at least another year.
Sportsmail revealed last Thursday how Arsenal were
considering a move to bring the midfielder back to the club he left in 2011.
Arsenal have a first-option buy-back on Fabregas, who was
the subject of a £26million bid from United earlier this month, at a fixed
price of £25million.
‘We have the clause in the contract so we would be on
alert. At the moment, Fabregas has decided to stay one more year at Barcelona.
‘Unless he has changed his mind, I don’t know but that’s
what I’ve been told.’ (Daily Mail)
Despite all the talk and speculation, Fabregas will
surely not be heading back to the Premier League this season.
