Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi says Vincent
Enyeama omission from the list of 20 players he has invited for next month's
international friendly game against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa was done
to give other goalkeepers in the team to opportunity to gain big-match experience.
Enyeama was in goal in all the six games the team played
enroute to winning the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa early this year
and was also in goal in the three games the Eagles played in last month's FIFA
Confederations Cup in Brazil and Keshi insists the player will be recalled for
subsequent games.
''I did not invite Vincent because I want to try out the
other goalkeepers in big match situations. He has been the team's first choice
for so long and his ability is not in doubt," explains Keshi.
