Italian side Napoli have claimed Chelsea have made
contact in their chase for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has spoken about
the Blues’ plans to bring in the wantaway striker if their bid to land
Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney bid fails.
In an interview with Tuttomercato, the 64-year-old made
it plain the Italian giants were facing massive competition from both the north
and west London clubs.
He said: “Now, we have Chelsea involved, as well as
Arsenal.” (Daily Star)
Higuain’s agent has recently come out and stated that the
striker should stay put, but the blues will surely push for a switch.
