Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sign
Real Madrid's £25 million-rated Luka Modric.
The Premier League giants are keen to land the former
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder after failing to land any big names thus far.
Arsenal failed in their chase for Gonzalo Higuain, who left Real for Napoli,
while United are looking unlikely to secure the services of Barcelona's Cesc
Fabregas.
Modric was a bit-part player under now Chelsea boss Jose
Mourinho and is said to be unsettled in the Spanish capital.
The Croatia international joined Real from Spurs for £33m
in 2012
