According to the site TMW, Arsenal have placed a bid of
€13m on the table for Lille striker Divock Origi.
The Belgian striker, who is just 18, is a regular in the
Ligue 1 side this season and i sunder contract until 2016.
Now, before you go and get your panties in a twist,
remember that not only do Arsenal need a world-class forward, they will also be
looking to replace both Park and Bendtner so they are bound to be sounding out
other options.
Granted, Arsenal’s track record when it comes to
transfers means that this could very well be the only forward they go for, but
with the stadium debt dwindling and new commercial deals coming in to effect,
it is likely that the days of bargain basement shopping for the front-of-house
staff are over.
