Real Madrid could make an offer for Oscar after reports
that Chelsea could sell the player, [football] direct news understands.
The Brazilian playmaker is also being targeted by Paris
Saint-Germain as it is thought that Jose Mourinho is willing to offload a
number of first-team regulars at Stamford Bridge in order to raise funds to
sign a top class centre-forward.
The Blues have plenty of options in the attacking
midfield positions, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Andre Schurrle and Willian,
whereas they are short of quality upfront with Fernando Torres and Demba Ba
failing to perform this season, and Samuel Eto'o only at the club on a one-year
deal.
Madrid, meanwhile, are on the lookout for new signings in
that position as manager Carlo Ancelotti admits that selling Mesut Ozil to
Arsenal in the summer may have been a mistake. Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho
has also been linked with a move to the Bernabeu.
With 11 goals and six assists this season, Oscar could be
a fine addition for the Spanish giants, and a move to one of Europe's biggest
clubs would no doubt be appealing for the 22-year-old.
"It's surprising, because Oscar's been great for us,
but it looks like we could be open to offers for him this summer," a
Chelsea insider said. "Real Madrid are interested and if he does go it'll
probably be them or PSG."
