Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano could end his loan
spell with the club prematurely in order to return to Italy with Bologna
showing an interest in the Palermo-owned Italian international.
Viviano has failed to make a single appearance for Arsene
Wenger’s side this season and could push for a return to the peninsula in order
to secure regular first team football.
The 28-year-old’s lack of match practice puts him behind
the likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Federico Marchetti and Salvatore Sirigu for a
place in the Italy squad for the 2014 World Cup and tuttomercatoweb.com report
that Bologna may be willing to offer him the first team football he needs.
Viviano is no stranger at the Renato Dall’Ara having made
72 appearances for the Rossoblu between 2009-11 before moving on to Inter and
then to Palermo in 2012.
The goalkeeper spent last season on loan at hometown club
Fiorentina, making 32 appearances for the Viola.
