Chrisantus seals win for Las Palmas

Macaulay Chrisantus scores again for Las Palmas

Macaulay Chrisantus scored again for Las Palmas as they recorded a 3-1 home win over Mirandes in the Spanish Segunda Liga on Saturday.

The former Nigeria youth international scored in the 84th minute to round off proceedings for the promotion chasers, after a brace from Juan Valeron had given the hosts a two-goal lead.

Igor Martinez pulled a goal back for Mirandes in the 66th minute, but Chrisantus' goal effectively killed off the visitors hope for an equalizer.

Chrisantus has now scored 6 goals in 10 games (7 starts) for Las Palmas this season.

The 23-year-old also notched in 12 goals from 19 starts for the club as they narrowly missed out on a promotion slot last season.
