With the hosts' hopes of World Cup qualification already
over, the much-fancied visitors continued a fine run of competitive form by
making the most of their dominance
Belgium continued their winning run in World Cup 2014
qualification with a comfortable triumph over Scotland.
The visitors got their reward after a dominant first
half, Steven Defour sliding home shortly before half-time from a Kevin De
Bruyne cross. Kevin Mirallas added a second just before the end, the Everton
star capitalising on Grant Hanley's mistake.
The result moves Belgium ever closer to winning their
group and assuring automatic qualification, though Scotland's hopes had long
been over.
