Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic admits he was shocked by
the Biancocelesti’s 3-0 victory over Chievo on Sunday despite being aware that
his side are capable of such results.
With city rivals Roma next up for the Biancocelesti,
Petkovic refused to be drawn into talk of the derby.
Instead he focused on their upcoming match with Legia
Warsaw in the Europa League on Thursday.
“This is a shock 3-0, but very important. As I said
yesterday I never had any doubts.” Petkovic told Sky Sports 24.
“We do believe we must be more clinical in front of goal
though and focused until the end.
“[Abdoulay] Konko pushed hard on the right, and did a
great job in coverage.
“[Luis Pedro] Cavanda must find match fitness after
months of inactivity.
“Derby? I have seen little of Roma. I focus on my team
and Thursday we have an important game in the Europa League and we want to
start well.”
