News Update :

Arsenal ready to bid £40million for Luis Suarez in make or break move for Liverpool striker

Monday, 22 July 2013

Wenger has identified Suarez as his No.1 target and Arsenal are determined to show they mean business by testing Liverpool’s resolve and their transfer clause.

Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is adamant they will not sell Suarez as they also brace themselves for a bid from Real Madrid who only value the Uruguayan at £25m.

Arsenal believe Suarez, who returned to pre-season training with Liverpool yesterday, is keen as they can offer Champions League football and they remain hopeful.

The Gunners are still in the market for Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain – and if the Spanairds lower the price back to the original mark of around £24m they could yet go back for him.

But they feel Suarez is more the complete team player.

Arsenal are also aware Napoli are interested in Higuain and if Real sell him to the Serie A club then it will give them cash to make a higher bid for Suarez.

Meanwhile, Wenger has insisted that reports Arsenal are about to sign Atletico Mineiro forward Bernard are incorrect.
