PREMIER LEAGUE: BELGIAN XI

Recently, Belgium has become a strong force in world football and many of their main stars play for Premier League clubs - here are some of the best (My Opinion) in a team of their own.

GOALKEEPER

This Position is of course taken by Liverpool stopper Simon Mignolet. He was class for Sunderland last season and earned a £9 million transfer to Liverpool..

DEFENDERS

Vincent Kompany is one of the best centre backs in the Premier League and would be a great club captain in this team.Obviously…

Jan Vertonghen had an unbelievable and massive season for Tottenham and lived up to his £12 million transfer fee. He appeared in 52 games for Spurs and scored 6 goals in the process and important goal at that. He definitely deserves his place in this team.

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen helped the Gunners to a Champions League spot. They had one of the most solid defence in the League and Vermaelen was a big part of that, despite not having his best season. He can be a good captain for this team as well.

Barcelona considering bid for Man City skipper Kompany

Barcelona will approach Manchester City for their captain, Vincent Kompany, if they are frustrated in their attempts to sign either Daniel Agger from Liverpool or Chelsea’s David Luiz, ESPN has reported.

The Catalans are particularly keen on Brazil international Luiz, and are of the belief that new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has his doubts regarding the centre-back. Barca will look to exploit Mourinho’s concerns by moving for Luiz but if they are priced out of the transfer, have lined up Agger as an alternative.
