Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will have a decision to make as Spanish club Atletico Madrid are planning to offer 25-year old Brazilian striker Diego Costa to the Blues in exchange for Belgian goalkeeping prodigy, Thibaut Courtois.

Courtois, 21, is on loan at Atletico Madrid from Chelsea for a 3rd successive season, but the Blues’ manager Jose Mourinho wants the Belgian to return to England next season.

Mourinho reportedly intends to send Courtois on loan to another Premier League club next season before he comes back to the Chelsea set-up as a replacement for veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Diego Costa has withdrawn from Spain's squad to face Equatorial Guinea and South Africa due to a thigh injury.

The Atletico Madrid striker's inclusion in Vicente del Bosque's side was much hyped after his decision to commit his international career to the world and European champions over the country of his birth, Brazil.

The striker, who was born in Brazil, has impressed Spain coach Vicente del Bosque after netting eight goals in seven league games for Atletico Madrid this season.
