Work permit prevents Arsenal from signing Sebastian Perez, says Atletico Nacional director

The Colombian club's official says that the 20-year-old's hopes of a move to the Emirates Stadium have been "ruled out" despite a trial period with the Premier League side

Nacional's Sebastian Perez will not join Arsenal, according to the Colombian club's director.

The 20-year-old midfielder spent time on trial at the Premier League club during the close-season and turned out for Arsene Wenger's side a 3-1 friendly win over Manchester City on Saturday but Victor Marulanda has confirmed that the Colombia Under-20s internationalhas been refused a work permit and will therefore not be moving to the Emirates Stadium.

QPR have agreed a deal for Colombian striker Duvan Zapata

Queens Park Rangers have agreed a deal with Estudiantes for striker Duvan Zapata, Sky Sports understands.

Rangers have been locked in talks with the Argentine club over a deal for the highly-rated Colombian striker.

West Ham had previously struck a deal before pulling out earlier this summer, while other clubs from around Europe such as Italians Napoli and Sassuolo, French side Evian and Spaniards Atletico Madrid have all shown an interest in recent weeks.
