Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o is set to decide on
whether he would be open to signing a contract with Juventus.
Since leaving Chelsea this summer, Samuel Eto'o has been
looking for a European club where he can continue his career.
A number of sides have been linked with the experienced
marksman, including Roma, Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham, but Juventus also
seem to be interested in signing him.
Juventus were handed an unexpected blow when new £15.8
million signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid injured his knee in his first
training session with the Italian club.
The Old Lady now appear to be looking for another
striking addition to fill the void and are reportedly eyeing Chelsea striker
Romelu Lukaku, who is also wanted by Everton and Atletico Madrid.
Eto'o has been in action in Portugal in a testimonial for
Deco, but he is expected to review his future very shortly and could give an
answer within days.
Juventus have the advantage of offering Champions League
football and see Eto'o as a man with the experience needed at the highest
level.
However, the Turin outfit will probably need to convince
Eto'o to agree to a reduction in his expected salary because they don't have
the same resources as Chelsea.
Reports suggested that Roma were interested in Eto'o but
the salary demands proved an insurmountable obstacle.
