WWE Payback '14 result

June 1, WWE presented the second annual Payback pay per view. The show was held in the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

In the Kickoff match that aired before the show aired properly, El Torito (accompanied by Diego & Francisco of Los Matadores) beat Hornswoggle (accompanied by Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal & Drew McIntyre of 3MB) in a Mask Versus Hair Match. Torito pinned Hornswoggle after hitting a springboard moonsault. Hornswoggle got his head shaved post-match.

WWE United States Champion Sheamus pinned Cesaro (with Paul Heyman) after catching him with a small package.

Ryback and Curtis Axel beat Goldust and Cody Rhodes. Ryback pinned Rhodes after hitting Shell Shocked. Post-match, a frustrated Rhodes told Goldust that he needs to find a better tag team partner. 

Rusev (with Lana) made Big E submit to the Accolade.

Kofi Kingstonversus Bo Dallas never happened. Before the match started Kane attacked Kingston and hit him with a chokeslam and a Tombstone. After the carnage, Dallas came to the ring and told Kingston all he needs to do is “BoLieve.”

WWE Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett pinned Rob Van Dam after hitting the Bull Hammer.

Stephanie McMahon then came to the ring and called out WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan and his wife Brie Bella in order for the injured Bryan to surrender the Championship. The Chicago crowd erupted into a “CM Punk” chant, which Stephanie shut down by saying that the crowd wanted Bryan to quit just like Punk did. Just as Bryan was about to hand over the Championships to Stephanie, Brie interrupted and said she quit, negating the surrender.

John Cena (with the WWE Tag Team Champions Jimmy & Jey Uso) beat Bray Wyatt (with Erick Rowan & Luke Harper) in a Last Man Standing Match.

WWE Divas Champion Paige made Alicia Fox tap out to the PTO.

The Shield (Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins) beat Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton & Batista) in a No Holds Barred Elimination Match.

Reigns speared Batista, allowing Rollins to get the pin on Batista.
Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Orton on a chair for the pin.
Reigns hit Triple with a spear for the win.
