Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi calls for support

Saturday, 17 May 2014

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has called on stakeholders to show total support for the national team as they prepare to do the country proud at the World Cup in Brazil.

Keshi was especially critical of the media who he accused of raising tension by creating an imaginary dispute between him and officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He therefore called on all stakeholders, including players who were not named in the preliminary list to throw their weight behind the team, and back them to excel at the Mundial.

"They create imaginary disputes between me and my employers, but I dare say there is no disagreement between us," the former Anderlecht defender told Vanguard Newspaper.

"All I want is for all including the players who did not make the initial 30-man list to support us, so that we can excel at the World Cup."
