Andy Murray has revealed that he already knows who he
wants to become his next coach.
The Wimbledon champion, who has been without a coach
since he parted ways with Ivan Lendl in March, says he will reveal all after
the French Open.
Murray said that he has spoken to the person in question
and conversations will continue after Roland Garros - where the British No.1
will open against Kazahkstan's Andrey Golubev.
"I have an idea of exactly what I want," Murray
told BBC Sport. "I've thought about it a lot, I've spoken to them and I'll
see.
"It's not like you chat to the person and the next day
it's done. You have to get a contract in place and there's always a few little
complications in that respect, but as long as the desire from both people is to
work together then hopefully it can happen fairly soon.
"There's always a bit of detail and stuff that needs
to get worked out, slightly more in depth discussion about things but hopefully
nothing will happen in the next couple of weeks because I'll still be here, but
maybe just after."
Since splitting from Lendl, who guided Murray to his
grand slam breakthrough at the US Open and then Wimbledon, has previously been
linked with John McEnroe.
