Heartland FC fire four players as a result of their poor
performance so far this season.
The management of the club have formally served four
players the necessary one month termination notice on their contracts citing
poor performances.
The termination notice which was signed by the club’s
General Coordinator, Oscar Keke stated that the affected players failed to
improve their games despite repeated opportunities they were given by the
technical crew which has demanded that they be replaced.
"Accordingly, we are compelled to invoke Article
18.2 of your contract of employment and hereby give you notice that your
contract will be terminated one month from the date of this memo," the
letter stated.
The Naze Millionaires have struggled to impress this
season, and the management of the club has placed all the remaining players on
notice for an impending review of their contract terms especially, salaries in
line with their output by midseason.
Heartland spokesman, Cajetan Nkwopara who confirmed the
development added that the management team led by Prince Okechukwu Ibe has
already directed the technical crew to quickly conduct a performance evaluation
on the remaining players and provide it with the result for further necessary
action.
