Glo PL: Week 14 wrap

Thursday, 22 May 2014

Week 14 games of the Glo Premier League were played on Wednesday day evening. Here's a quick review of the results from the various centres.

An 18th minute header from Christian Pyagbara is all that was needed to help Sharks FC record a 1-0 win over visiting Enugu Rangers in Port Harcourt.

Peter Ebimobowei was also the hero for Bayelsa United as his goal gave his side a 1-0 home win over Akwa United. The strike was however taken off shortly after as a result of injury.

Lobi Stars were big winners as they edged visiting FC Taraba 3-1 in Kastina-Ala. In Lafia, Nasarawa United also recorded a 2-0 home win over Giwa FC.

Disaster was averted in Owerri as an 85th minute spotkick from Bright Ejike helped Heartland secure a 1-1 draw against visiting Abia Warriors who took an early lead.

Anayo Emmanuel also scored late from the spot to help El Kanemi Warriors salvage a point at home, after holding Enyimba to a 1-1 draw.

Nembe City beat visiting Dolphins 1-0 in Omoku, while Kaduna United were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Kano Pillars.
