Gbenga Elegbeye urges Under-15 national team to remain focused

Tuesday, 6 May 2014

Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Gbenga Elegbeye has urged the players of the Under-15 national team to remain focused.

Elegbeye made this admonition to the players after watching them beat Dreamland Football Academy 4-1 in a build-up game played on Monday.

The NSC top-brass has been a regular visitor to training games of the U-15 boys, and demanded that they maintain total concentration ahead of the Africa Youth Games (AYG) which comes up in Botswana later in the year.

"I'm so proud of you boys because I have seen a lot of improvement in your games since you came to camp two weeks ago, but please don't be carried away," Elegbeye advised.

The game against Dream Land Football Academy is the fourth in the series of friendly games played so for by the National U-15 boys.

The Dalandi Nasidi led side had earlier defeated the Super Falcons 1-0, AB Football Academy, Jos 9-0 and Hearts Academy, Kano 2-1; all matches were played at the Fifa Goal Project Centre of the Abuja National in Abuja
