Former Nigeria Referees Association chairman Sam Jaja has backed the Super Eagles to excel at the upcoming World Cup.

“The Super Eagles build up from the Nations Cup victory in South Africa to World Cup qualification is an indication that the team will do well,” Jaja said in Port Harcourt.

Jaja noted that under the guidance of Stephen Keshi, the Super Eagles have shown a strength of character which will be crucial to their success in Brazil. He therefore called for the continuous support for the team, adding that he is optimistic that they will do the nation proud.

“Coach Stephen Keshi has shown that the Eagles have character and knows what he wants to achieve. All we have to do now is to support the team and pray for them to do well. I am optimistic that Keshi has a good team that will do the nation proud at the mundial,” he said.
