Carlo Ancelotti sympathises with David Moyes after his
sacking at Manchester United, claiming they are not usually the type of club to
make such a decision.
The Italian boss was speaking at a press conference ahead
of his side's Champions League semi-final with Bayern Munich.
Sir Alex Ferguson was given 26 years to build an empire
at United, but Moyes was axed after less than a year in charge with the club
seventh in the Premier League.
'I am sorry for David Moyes. In general this is the life
of a coach,' Ancelotti said. 'Sometimes things don't come out well and they get
rid of you and that's it.
'I was a bit surprised because Manchester United are not
normally like this. It might be normal in another club but at United after 26
years I was surprised.'
Madrid are a club famous for not having much patience
when it comes to patience, though Ancelotti should survive the sack this
summer.
Real are challenging Atletico in La Liga, are one step
away from a Champions League final, and have secured the Copa Del Rey in his
first season.
