Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi will get little time to
prepare the Super Eagles for their international friendly on May 28 against
Scotland at Craven Cottage.
The players invited to play in the friendly will be given
May 27 as the deadline for their arrival in camp, which means they will only
have one day to acclimatise and get used to conditions at Craven Cottage ahead
of the game.
“We are playing on May 28, and we all should be there on
May 27 so that we can have at least a one-day training session before we
play,’’ Keshi said.
The coach added that he was still working to get 30
players out of the list of 38 already submitted to the Nigeria Football
Association on Tuesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the list
will be given to Fifa on May 10.
Keshi said players selected were invited based on their
club performances and communication with the team’s handlers.
