AC Milan's horror season continues after a 4-2 defeat to
Parma at San Siro masterminded by an Antonio Cassano brace.
The Rossoneri were still reeling from three consecutive
defeats including an emphatic elimination from the Champions League at the
hands of Atletico Madrid as they lined up to face Parma.
And things went from bad to worse for Clarence Seedorf's
men as they were behind within nine minutes courtesy of a Cassano spot-kick
that had also seen goalkeeper Christian Abbiati shown a straight red card.
Milan looked ponderous and short of confidence and their
visitors took complete control when Cassano scored a second after the break due
to some terrible marking.
But the Rossoneri appeared to have pulled off a
remarkable comeback when Adil Rami scored within three minutes of coming on as
a substitute and Balotelli converted a controversial penalty kick for his first
goal in a month.
However, Parma were not discouraged by throwing away a
two-goal advantage and ex-Juventus man Amauri bundled home in the 76th minute
to restore their lead.
Ex-Sunderland target Jonathan Biabiany compounded Milan's
misery in the dying seconds with a diving header from six yards to make it 4-2.
After the game, furious Ultras gathered in protest at the
Diavolo's current position and demanded to see the players.
According to Tuttosport, Kaka and Abbiati went to talk to
fans to try and calm the atmosphere and Balotelli also offered an apology.
The situation at San Siro is becoming toxic after a
season of disappointments and Milan are routed in 11th place with their
European qualification chances fading with each passing week.
