Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi  ahead of the Mexico friendly has promptly replad injured Joseph Yobo with a relatively ‘unknown’ central defender from Germany’s Bundesliga, Leon Balogun.

Balogun who plies his trade with Fortuna Dusseldorf has already arrived at the Atlanta, Georgia camp of the Eagles as he hopes for a debut show with the reigning African champions.

Ben Alaiya the Super Eagles Media Officer has already confirmed the invitation and arrival of Balogun even as he tips the defender for a ‘bright’ future with the national team.

“Yobo has been replaced by the Coach, he has invited Leon Balogun who plays for Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany and surprisingly he is here already. The Eagles spokesperson stated during  his camp updates on Brila Fm.

Alaiya who assured that he will issue a statement on the new invitee tried to give a brief description about the potential debutant.

He said:- “He is fair-complexioned, he is like ‘oyinbo’… if you remember back in the days Reuben Agboola, he looks exactly the same.

Checks by FCNaija reveal that Leon Balogun who is 25 years old is not a regular player even in the lower division with Fortuna Dusseldorf, his team is occupying 11th position on the log, the player has however shown keen interest in playing for Nigeria.
