Joseph Yobo says he is excited at the prospect of making
his Premier League return with Norwich City.
The Nigeria international completed a loan move from
Turkish outfit Fenerbahce during the January transfer window, and arrives at
Carrow Road with the club in 15th place in the Premier League - just two points
clear of the bottom three.
The 33-year-old is well acquainted with the English top
flight having made over 200 appearances for Everton, and Yobo said he was
delighted to be offered the chance to return.
"I'm excited that I had this opportunity to come
back to England," he told Norwich's official website.
"It's probably the best league in the world, and
it's a new challenge so I'm looking forward to it.
"There were loads of clubs from abroad who were
interested in me, but the manager here convinced me and I wanted to come back
to the Premier League."
Yobo went on to say that he is ready to play an immediate
part in Norwich's fight to avoid the drop, and that he had settled in nicely to
his new surroundings.
"We had a week break for Christmas in Turkey, but
then two weeks of training after that and it was so good, so I'm ready to
go," he added.
"I trained yesterday but today it was with the whole
squad so I'm happy to be here.
"I know a few of the players already, it wasn't
entirely new to me but I felt welcome."
