Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado could be set
for an amazing return to Spain in the summer as Atletico Madrid continue to
keep an eye on his situation in London, according to Sports Direct News.
The Spaniard still remains highly rated in his homeland
despite failing to impress in England following last summer’s £26m transfer
from Valencia.
And with his past goalscoring record in mind, Atletico
boss Diego Simeone is reportedly prepared to make an offer to bring him to the
club. However, the deal world represent a certain amount of risk for the Atleti
coach, though he faces losing star forward Diego Costa at the end of the
season, and will therefore need a suitable replacement.
Soldado currently has only five goals to his name for the
White Heart Lane outfit, and the majority of those have come from the spot, but
his 59 for Valencia in the previous three campaigns could see him given another
chance to prove himself back home.
And Soldado may fancy a return to Spain as Emmanuel Adebayor
is still currently the favoured choice to lead the Spurs attack.
