Roma forward Gervinho is happy that the Giallorossi
secured yet another victory without conceding a goal after Friday’s 2-0 win
over Napoli.
The win allowed the Lupi to extend their winning streak
to eight wins in a row, which ties the Serie A record for best winning streak
to start the season previously set by Juventus on three occasions.
Gervinho wrote on his official Twitter page on Saturday
about the victory and praised his team for their successful start to the
campaign.
“Yesterday we won another match without conceding a goal,
it was a party at the Olimpico,” said the 26-year-old, who joined Rudi Garcia’s
men this summer from Arsenal.
“We secured three important points. Now we have eight
wins in a row and a great team spirit. Forza Roma.”
Roma sit in first place with a maximum 24 points from
their first eight matches.
