Henrique Hilario has signed a new one-year contract with
Chelsea, the Premier League club has announced.
Hilario joined Chelsea in 2006 when he was brought in by
Jose Mourinho and he will remain with the club for a seventh season after
signing a new one-year extension.
The 37-year-old, who has made 39 appearances for the
Blues, is one of four goalkeepers on the roster at Chelsea along with Petr
Cech, Mark Schwarzer and Jamal Blackman.
Commenting on his new deal, Hillario told the club’s
website: “It feels really good to sign a new contract for another year at the
club, I’m very proud.
‘I’m really pleased to be part of this great squad and
I’m looking forward to working once again with Jose Mourinho.’
