Esteban Granero has joined UEFA Champions League play-off
entrants Real Sociedad de Fútbol on a season-long loan from Queens Park Rangers
FC with an option to make the move permanent in June.
Granero, 26, signed for the west London team at the
beginning of the 2012/13 campaign, but, despite scoring once in 24 Premier
League appearances, was unable to prevent the club's relegation.
The midfielder – who is set to be unveiled by La Real
today – is returning to his homeland of Spain, where he enjoyed spells at Real
Madrid CF either side of a two-season stay at Getafe CF.
Real Sociedad finished fourth in the Spanish Liga last
term and take on Olympique Lyonnais in the play-offs, with the first leg in
France on 20 August
