Rooney Move To Chelsea Delayed

Jose Mourinho’s proposed deal to bring Wayne Rooney from Manchester United to Chelsea may have to wait for another two weeks, as reports suggest the former Everton striker will attend Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial next week as a United player.

The new Chelsea manager has been trying to put pressure on the United board by making his intentions of signing Rooney public. Ever since making a sensational return to Stamford Bridge, Mourinho has returned to his battle winning tricks, stirring mayhem in the opposition camp. The Portuguese manager has made a total of three squad signings so far, adding Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen in attack, Mark Schwarzer as a substitute keeper, and Marco van Ginkel as a young squad player in the side. Under the new boss, the squad is thriving with confidence, and is ready to build on last year’s success to achieve bigger trophies this season.

Rooney’s career at United has been one full of headlines, for reasons good and bad. However, it has been a downhill ever since United won the Barclays Premier League for the final time under legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
