A source says that Cory's friends are organizing a private
memorial service at his Los Angeles home, while Canadian fans are planning to
hold candlelight vigils.
Cory Monteith's friends are reportedly organizing a
private memorial service to remember the actor who passed away on July 13. The
event will be held at the "Glee" actor's home in Los Angeles.
"It's at his house. The invite was informal - just a Facebook message
telling us to come to the house at night. Everyone is going to tell funny
stories and bring photos," a source told In Touch magazine.
Meanwhile, Cory's fans are planning to organize similar
event in Canada. The Province reported that the actor's fans would hold candle
light vigils in Vancouver and Victoria on Friday to honor Cory. The Vancouver
event will be held at 8 P.M. at Fairmont Pan Pacific hotel, where the actor
died. The other event will take place at 9 P.M. at Clover Point Park.
A touching video message of Cory, that is believed to be
his final video, appeared online on Thursday. According to Global News, the
video was taken in a plane during a flight from Japan to Vancouver. A flight
attendant called Sheila asked the 31-year-old actor to leave a message for her
boyfriend's daughter, Mallory.
In the short clip, Cory recorded himself while sitting in
the plane's cabin. The video shows him saying, "I wanted to record this
video for you guys just to let you know to stay out of trouble and stay in
school."
"Glee" co-star Dianna Agron called Cory
"one of the most generous and kind people that I have ever met."
Dianna added in a statement, "He had a smart, curious mind, he was an
enormous talent. He was loving to not only me, but my family. My heart goes out
to his family, to Lea Michele, to everyone that is struggling with the loss of
our friend. We will miss you Cory. We will always carry a piece of you with
us."
