The rapper whose real name is Earl Simmons blacked out on
the backseat of a squad car en route to the Greenville County Detention Center
DMX was either wasted, exhausted or both on the Friday
night when he was popped for suspicion of driving under influence. In
newly-unearthed pictures, the rapper was seen passing out inside the police car
when he was taken into custody.
The rapper was arrested when driving his Plymouth station
wagon near Greenville, South Carolina July 26. He was booked into Greenville
County Detention Center on charges of driving under the influence, driving
without a license and not wearing a seatbelt.
He was released hours later after posting $1,235 in bail.
His representative quickly denied the DUI allegation as saying, "He was
arrested early this morning but quickly released. X was given a breathalyzer
test and easily passed it."
