The disgraced doctor says that he does not want to
testify in the King of Pop wrongful death trial and asks both AEG and Jackson's
family to consider it as an 'imminent nuclear warning' from him.
Dr. Conrad Murray, who treated Michael Jackson before his
passing, once again showed his intention not to testify in the King of Pop
wrongful death trial. The disgraced doctor left a threatening voice message to
a friend, asking both AEG Live and the singer's family to leave him alone.
"Please stop. If you don't, let this serve as my
final warning to both sides. Don't incite me to testify. Consider this as an
imminent nuclear warning. Enough is enough," he said in a recording shared
by TMZ. Murray apparently refuses to get involved in the trial because he does
not want to incriminate himself in the legal proceedings.
It was not the first time Murray left a message saying
that he did not want to testify. Earlier this year, he left similar voice
message saying, "If I am compelled to speak [in court] I can cause one
party or the other to experience the impact of an immediate seismic
shock." He added that his statement might bring "a total and complete
debacle" to both sides.
Michael Jackson's mother Katherine and his three children
sued concert promotor AEG Live for $1 billion in damage, claiming that the
promotor neglected the singer's health during preparation of "This Is
It" tour. Murray is currently serving 4-year jail sentence after he
administered high dose of Propofol to help the singer sleep.
