Tomas Rosicky has started to enjoy better fortunes of
late at the Emirates. He has managed to gain a more regular place in the
starting line-up, coupled by more respect from fans. It recently became
apparent that on his Facebook page, which is widely thought to be his real
account, he had posted a ‘status’ regarding the latest transfer saga
surrounding the Gunners’ attempt to sign Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
The post simply read: “I can not comment but say that
Luis Suarez is one fantastic player”. While this may seem like a rather broad
statement, it certainly signals further attempts from the North-London camp to
entice the wantaway Uruguayan. Following the news that Liverpool rejected yet
another Arsenal transfer bid, this time believed to be £40,000,001, furthered
by the Anfield chairman’s rather damning tweet of the sum, it seemed like
Suarez may be set to stay.
However, it is still unclear what Suarez would like to
do. He has spoken of his desire to leave Merseyside, and will speak with
Arsenal following the clause being broken in his contract. Liverpool will still
not sell until a bid reaches their demands, rumoured to be past the £50million
mark, but it certainly seems Suarez is standing firm in his willingness to
leave.
Moreover, it seems a lot of Arsenal fans are in favour of
Suarez signing, and with Rosicky being one of the men to provide the assists to
help them to Premier League glory.
With players at Arsenal speaking highly of the Uruguayan,
it will certainly add to the list of reasons behind Suarez’s growing desire to
move down south and join up with Arsene Wenger, however we can only wait on
developments to take place and see how the saga plays out in the coming weeks.
